The Dara is my go to Thai place in Baltimore because not only does it offer delicious cuisines, it’s also vibey. We essentially order the same thing each time we go.
Thai Teani (10/10) - it’s the Thai Tea version of a creamy espresso martini.
Coconut shrimp (10/10) - they have the perfect crisp and flavor, but it’s not just the shrimp. It’s the base which is an apple salad that really steals the show. The dressing is made in house and it’s light yet packed with flavor. It will make your taste buds jump.
Drunken noodles (vegetables) (10/10) - you can choose whatever protein and spice level you desire I prefer the veggies. The sauce is packed with flavor and everything is freshly made.
Pad Thai (vegetables) (10/10) - similar to the drunken noodles you can pick your protein and spice level. Super fresh and flavorful. This was my friend’s dish and it was so good she doubled back the next day and got it for take-out.
Mango sticky rice (9/10) - this was my first time trying mango sticky rice. I enjoyed. I think I wasn’t anticipating how sweet it was. Which is strictly preference. It was very tasty though.

Just had dinner here and it was amazing. The service was superb. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu. We ordered the drunken noodles, prawns, pork belly and mango sticky rice. It was all delicious!!

Really good food and great service. If you’re craving Indian in the Fells/Canton area, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. I had the Lamb Korma with garlic naan and they are both delicious.

We left after eating here, and I have to admit that I was bummed out......We got all the way to Philadelphia before I realized I'd left my leftovers in the restaurant!! I had crab meat fried rice and it was DIVINE!! Lovely place, the lighting was just right for a date, the staff was friendly and the food was outstanding. This is a true gem of a place!

Wow!!! First off, the atmosphere was very taverny there’s a bar in the middle and plenty of dim lighting and good amount of seating. Secondly, the flavor!!! The food was scrumptious! I enjoyed every last bit! The cocktails were beautifully made, my only mistake was changing the liquor in mine, (I was able to compare with the original and i messed it up lol! ) Everything was reasonably priced, the portions were good as well~ Service was top notch and super sweet. I enjoyed this dining experience so much!

Genuinely top tier spot. The food, friendly staff, and atmosphere were perfect. This was our first time coming in and with ordering some appetizers, entrees, and a dessert, everything was lovely.
Special callout for the hatyai fried chicken and giaow pak.

Always a great spot to grab some good food and drinks. Being a Thai spot, The Dara brings something different to the neighborhood that's filled with plenty of pub-fare bars and restaurants. We got the papaya salad and chicken sateh to start, then drunken noodles with crispy chicken thigh (my go-to) and panang curry with beef as our entrees. For drinks we got the Never Too Much (tropical Rum-based cocktail with Campari and a mango foam) and the Lychee Mojito. Everything was incredibly tasty as always, and the service was kind, timely, and genuine, as it always is. I cannot recommend this place enough.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Baltimore. They also have an incredibly affordable Business Lunch deal, which provides 1 appetizer and 1 main entree for only $19 dollars. I came with a party of 4, and with each of us choosing this deal, we were able to sample 4 different appetizers and 4 different mains. The boneless fried chicken and lotus root were the standout appetizers. The fried rice was also fantastic. It's rare to see an affordable meal as good as this.

I stopped by The Dara about an hour and half before closing, and I’m so glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing—very authentic Thai cuisine in a rustic, cozy atmosphere. First time there and I was impressed by Katie behind the bar. She was absolutely amazing—great service, very knowledgeable about the menu, pleasant and friendly to talk to, welcoming, and gave excellent recommendations.
I ordered Thai fried rice with fried chicken thighs, and my friend had the pad Thai with fried chicken thighs. The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced. The portions were generous and the quality truly impressed.
Overall, love the food and the vibe. I’ll definitely be returning soon to try more 🤗🤗🤗. If you’re craving authentic Thai in a rustic, cozy setting with top-notch service, this place is a must. Also the harbor is literary a block away, perfect for an after meal stroll 🚶♂️! Great Area!!
